Initially planned as an exhibition until COVID lockdown, available now as a Photo documentary.

Unravelling provides a sacred opportunity for invention.

In 2018 Caroline Sarah departed a long career in the community sector, picking up a needle and scissors to follow her threads.

The Story Costumer, a bespoke costume creation hire and workshop space subsequently emerged.

Caroline’s inaugural sol exhibition was intended to explore the varying roles costume can play: as acknowledgement, disguise, celebration, mourning or personal statement.

In this exhibition, stories about mental health recovery and acceptance are woven into the fibres of each creation, slowly hand stitched using repurposed gifted or thrifted materials.

The magical, curious, archetype or enchanting may be your companion.
